yoga for anxiety & depression
11am-noon Sunday, June 24, with Katie: As we go through life, we'll likely experience some form of trauma, mental illness or emotional distress. If we can't fully process the experience, the body will store it, causing tightness, pain or other physical manifestations. This workshop will lead you through an intentional sequence that includes breathing exercises, healing techniques, yoga postures and guided meditation. Led by Katie Fisher, a yoga teacher and mental health professional. Read more about Katie here. 430pm Sunday, June 24, yin + restorative yoga: A great complement to active Yang classes and practices. Starting with a 45-minute yin practice, we'll hold postures longer to gently work past the muscles into the fascia. We'll end with a restorative practice to invoke true relaxation to get you ready for the week. Drop-in or class pass.
6pm yoga nidra: Yoga Nidra, also known as sleep yoga, is a guided meditation into a state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleeping. The body is in complete relaxation; often a session can feel like the equivalent of 2-3 hours of sleep. We'll start with some simple movements to clear the body so the mind can rest. You'll be in a supported Savasana or seated posture while you are guided through the Nidra. No experience needed, just an open mind and heart.

full-moon meditation + singing bowls, 7-8pm Friday, June 29: When the moon is full, we are most open to its reflective qualities. Join us for a short seated meditation followed by the healing vibrations of singing crystal bowls. All are welcome, no experience needed. $5 with food-shelf donation and rsvp by June 27 to drishtiyogaWBL@gmail.com; $10 otherwise. Exact change appreciated!
